For centuries the Church has played an important role at key moments in people’s lives.
Baptism (also called Christening)
Baptism marks a person’s entry into the journey of Christian
faith. Infants or Adults can be baptised. If you are looking for
baptism as an adult or for your children come and see us at a
bookings session. We ask that parents attend one of our monthly
baptism preparation evenings before booking a firm date. For adults
seeking baptism we arrange separate sessions.
There is no fee for baptism. We also offer thanksgiving services for
those who would prefer this option.
Weddings and Dedication Services
In Christian Marriage a couple declare their love for each and
ask for God’s blessing on their life together. If you are
looking to be married in Warsop, or Sookholme, then come and see us
at a booking session. We will check that you fulfil the Church of
England requirements to be married in Warsop and look at suitable
dates and costs.
We also encourage you to come to one of our wedding preparation
days. These are run on Saturdays leading up to the summer, and
include lunch. They offer time and space for reflection as the
wedding day approaches using quizzes and discussion.
